Chemical Treatment

Chemical treatment works by dosing coagulants and polyelectrolytes to flocculate and settle colloidal pollutants. It is the most widely applied process in the textile, chemical, metal plating and paint industries.

Process flow

• pH adjustment and rapid mixing (coagulation)
• Slow mixing and floc formation (flocculation)
• Lamella or conventional sedimentation
• Sludge recirculation and transfer to dewatering
